The data was taken at a distance of 2 meters under the controlled conditions of the the Study.
Shortly after I had completed the Dipole Baffle Study, Rudi Blondia came by to provide an independent measurement of the equalized baffle's responses. Unfortuately, the impulse responses from which these frequency responses below were derived was not saved. So we only have this 'quick & dirty' view of the listening position responses for now.
The data was taken at the 'sweet spot' listening postion about 9 feet from each of the baffles. This is also a 4096 point plot, but taken at a sampling rate of 48KHz, which results in a sample time interval of 85.3mS compared to the 60.9mS of the 61.2KHz sampling rate of the plot above. Another very BIG difference between the two plots is that the plot below is 1/3 octave smoothed and the plot above is 1/12 octave smoothed. Again, these responses are from the parametric-equalized '3&SQ' baffles.
Shall we ask the question for you? Where DO the differences come from?
