Originally, I received limited feedback regarding this company, however this
is changing as I receive more recommendations. They have several products
which are quite interesting. Especially noteworthy is the fact that all their
drivers are magnetically shielded. Also, all Hi-Vi mid/bass and LF drivers
feature commendably low Q values, recommending their use in vented designs.
The North American distributor, Swans, also
sells both kits and complete speaker systems using these drivers under its own
brand name.
See also the description of the RT1/RT1C
and RT2E_A "Isodynamic" (planar
magnetic) tweeters in Section 4. Among conventional
drivers, the standouts include:
- The F6 6" mid/bass features a
dual magnet symmetric motor drive, a Kevlar/paper composite cone, and a central
phase plug. It has very good numbers and its FR is commendably flat
(+/-1 dB) across its useful range.

- The D8G 8" woofer should never
be used much over 300 Hz, but is an excellent choice for someone needing
an 8" shielded woofer.

- The F10 10" woofer is an decent
10" woofer with flatter response than the D8G above. As with the D8G, it's
principle audience will be those needing a 10" shielded woofer.

- The D10G 10" woofer appears to be
the best LF driver in the Hi-Vi stable (it's also the costliest). It features
the lowest FS, highest Xmax, and flattest FR curve within the passband of
interest of all the Hi-Vi drivers. This unit can stand comparison with some of
the best non-shielded woofers.

- The F12 12" subwoofer is a quite
decent 12" woofer. Comments for the F10 apply for the F12 as well.
